HI I'M MINERVA !

I was born near the Amazon rainforest in Venezuela, where my deep connection to nature and animals shaped my early understanding of life. This connection with the natural world stayed with me, though moving to France as a teenager introduced me to a different rhythm of life. It wasn’t until I found Jivamukti yoga that I began to rediscover that sense of balance within myself.

Jivamukti drew me in because it goes beyond the physical—offering tools to transform the way we live. This practice became my foundation, guiding me through challenges and grounding me in the belief that yoga can truly change lives.

With over 8 years of teaching experience, I’ve been fortunate to share this practice internationally, primarily in France, Spain, and most recently in Thailand. While teaching in the vibrant yoga hub of Koh Phangan, I witnessed countless new yoga teachers being certified, and I realized that many classes were missing something essential. Yoga had become a physical practice for many, but the deeper layers—the philosophy, the meditative aspect, the spiritual teachings—were being left out.

This realization inspired me to step into mentorship. I help yoga teachers rediscover the essence of yoga, showing them how to integrate more than just physical asanas into their teaching. My method focuses on building meaningful, inclusive sequences through effective cueing techniques, while also bringing in the heart of yoga: its philosophy, meditation, and the teachings that connect us more deeply to ourselves and the world.

My goal is to help teachers lead with confidence and authenticity, guiding their students through transformative practices that reflect the full depth of yoga.

MY JOURNEY AS A TEACHER

I started teaching yoga in Marseille, France, while working as an international trade assistant. My journey began with offering classes to my co-workers and holding beach sessions on weekends. As my passion for teaching grew, I rented a beautiful shala, where I led evening classes after work.

Eventually, I followed the calling of my heart and made yoga my full-time path. After teaching at Jivamukti Yoga Barcelona School, I relocated to Koh Phangan, Thailand.

Teaching in this vibrant yoga hub gave me the opportunity to connect with practitioners from all around the world. Leading group classes with over 30 students of varying levels helped me develop the ability to adapt my teaching, creating more inclusive classes that cater to individual needs.

During my three years in Koh Phangan, I also trained new yoga teachers. Through this experience and observing the yoga offerings on the island, I realized that many modern yoga classes had become focused on the physical aspect, missing the true essence of yoga.

This realization inspired me to become a mentor for yoga teachers, guiding them to incorporate not just asana, but also the deeper, transformative aspects of yoga: philosophy, mantras, meditation in every class.

Today, through my mentorship program, I continue to share the wisdom passed down from my teachers and the lessons I’ve learned through life to new yoga teachers and teachers who want to create more holistic yoga classes.

JIVAMUKTI YOGA

The Jivamukti Yoga method, created by Sharon Gannon and David Life in New York, emerged from their deep practice in India and NYC guided by key gurus. Today, it ranks among the world's top 8 yoga styles, reviving ancient wisdom for the modern era.

"Jivan" (individual soul) and "mukti" (liberation) compose Jivamukti, a path to liberation through compassion.

The method's essence lies in the Sanskrit "asana" meaning "seat, connection," rooted in ourrelationship to Earth and all life forms.

This philosophy is upheld through Five Tenets:

AHIMSA (non-violence): Compassionate, ethical lifestyle including veganism and animal rights.

BHAKTI (devotion): Yoga for realizing the divine, expressed through chanting or focused intention.

DHYANA (meditation): Connecting with unchanging reality within.

NADA (sound): Cultivating a sound body-mind via deep listening, music, silence, or speech.

SHASTRA (study): Delving into ancient yogic teachings and Sanskrit chanting.

Jivamukti Yoga brings timeless teachings to a new generation, offering a transformative journey toward liberation and compassion.
